Ecommerce SEO and organic revenue growth.
Most ecommerce sites do not have an SEO problem, they have a prioritisation problem. Thousands of URLs, filters creating pages nobody asked for, category pages competing with each other and a content plan that never quite connects to revenue. I work out which of those is actually costing you money, and in what order to fix it.
Rankings are not the goal. Organic revenue is.
An ecommerce catalogue can rank for thousands of terms and still underperform commercially, usually because the pages that matter most are the ones that get the least attention. I focus on the categories and products tied to revenue and margin, make sure search engines and AI assistants can find and understand them, and build the content that captures demand before someone is ready to buy. That is eleven years of work across international retailers, electronics and scale ups, applied to your catalogue.

My process.
- 01
Understand the commercials
Which categories drive revenue and margin, where the growth targets sit, and what the team can realistically ship.
- 02
Audit the catalogue
Crawl, indexation, templates, filters, product data and content, reviewed at scale rather than page by page.
- 03
Find the revenue gaps
Where demand exists that your categories and products are not capturing, and what competitors are winning by default.
- 04
Prioritise the plan
A clear, ordered roadmap split by effort and expected commercial impact, not a list of every possible fix.
- 05
Ship and support
Tickets, briefs and working sessions so the work actually lands with developers, merchandisers and content teams.
- 06
Measure what matters
Reporting on organic revenue, transactions and category performance, with rankings as a supporting signal.

Common questions.
What does ecommerce SEO actually involve?+
It is a mix of three things: making sure search engines can crawl and index a large, filter heavy catalogue, making your category and product pages the best answer for commercial searches, and building content that brings in demand earlier in the buying journey. The balance between those three depends on your site, your catalogue size and where the revenue gap is.
Do you work with Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce or headless builds?+
Yes. I have worked on hosted platforms, custom builds and headless setups, including full replatforms. The platform changes how a fix is implemented, not whether it is worth doing, and I write recommendations so your developers can ship them on your stack.
How do you handle faceted navigation and filters?+
Filters are usually where crawl budget and duplicate content problems start. I map which filter combinations have genuine search demand and deserve an indexable page, and which should be blocked, canonicalised or handled in a way that keeps them useful for shoppers but invisible to search engines.
Can you help with product pages that never rank?+
Yes. Common causes are thin manufacturer descriptions duplicated across retailers, variants splitting signals across many URLs, missing or invalid product schema, out of stock handling that removes pages entirely, and weak internal linking from category pages. I work through those in order of likely impact.
How does this connect to AI search?+
Shoppers increasingly start in ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews rather than a search box. Clean product data, accurate schema, clear comparison and buying content and strong brand mentions all make you easier to quote. If AI visibility is the main goal, the AI Search and GEO service goes deeper.
Do you work with our developers and merchandising team?+
Yes, that is usually how the best results happen. I write dev ready tickets, join sprint or planning calls where useful, and keep merchandising, content and SEO priorities in one shared plan rather than three competing lists.
How long before we see results?+
Technical and template level fixes often show movement within weeks on the pages affected. Category and content work usually builds over a few months. Peak trading periods are worth planning backwards from, since work shipped in October rarely has time to compound before Black Friday.
We are replatforming soon. Should we wait?+
No, but the order changes. Migration planning comes first so you do not lose what you already have, then growth work lands on the new platform. The SEO migration service covers that side in detail.
